HSE axes keyhole surgery at hospital

Niall Hunter , Editor - In the latest hospital safety revelation, the HSE has ordered all laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery to cease at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan , Co Meath. The HSE, in a statement today, said an ongoing clinical review at Our Lady’s Hospital had identified a number of concerns regarding the consistency of meeting the necessary standards regarding laparoscopic surgery.
